SecurTAP leverages NFC technology, which enables two devices—such as SecurTap NFC Card and a payment terminal—to communicate wirelessly when they are within close proximity (typically a few centimeters). This eliminates the need for physical contact, entering your PIN, or swiping.
When a customer taps their NFC-enabled card on a SecurTAP payment terminal, encrypted payment data is transmitted securely. This data includes the payment amount, customer credentials, and transaction details.
Instead of transmitting actual card details, SecurTAP uses tokenization. A unique, one-time token is generated for each transaction, ensuring that sensitive information is never exposed during the payment process.
The transaction data is sent to the payment processor in real-time, where it is authenticated and authorized. Once approved, the payment is completed, and both the customer and merchant receive instant confirmation.
